Absorbing Coating

Absorbing coatings for optical applications are useful to specifically influence the optical properties of interfaces. They are used to solve many tasks in applied modern optics. Important technical applications include optical instruments, lasers and laser systems, optical communication and data storage.

These black or bright coatings can be deposited on light metals like aluminium, titanium and magnesium and their alloys with the method of Plasma Chemical Oxidation (PCO®).
