1985
From Silicoater® to PYROSIL®
A dental adhesion system was developed in cooperation between scientists at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and Heraeus Kulzer GmbH & Co. KG under the special direction of Prof. Dr. Tiller and Prof. Dr. Musil starting in 1985.
1987
The PYROSIL®-process is filed for a patent application.
The further development of the procedure for applications outside of medical technology is promoted.
1997
SURA Instruments GmbH was founded.
The scope of activity is continually broadened and the product portfolio improved accordingly.
2001
The company moves into the new company building in Jena-Goeschwitz, Prüssingstr. 27B.
With increasing activities, including the automotive industry, the glass industry, and the steel industry, the distribution network is developed in Asia and America as well.
2014
Change of management. Christian Tiller left company and Dr. Arnd Schimanski take over his position.
2019
Company moves to a new site in Ilmstraße 18 in Jena with larger production and stock capacities.
